Responsibilities

We are looking for an IT Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is primarily responsible for the overall delivery and management of application development and technology projects/products and serves as the project management lead in working with enterprise skill teams touching different areas of IT and Business Solutions.  Ability to work on a hybrid model located in Farmington Hills, MI.

 

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will report to the project management office (PMO)
  • Provide leadership and support for the overall delivery and management of medium to high complexity projects
  • This is a highly collaborative role that requires someone who is motivated with a positive demeanor, exhibits perseverance, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Responsible for project delivery, maintaining plans and processes, driving project decisions, resource and financial management, deliverable tracking, communication, risk and issue management and course correction
  • Develop and execute scalable, repeatable, and transferable processes to further evolve the project management practice
  • Primary interface for projects including coordinating with internal IT teams, all levels of the organization, customers, vendor partners and business unit representatives
  • Work with business analysts to provide advice and counsel to the business customers on solution options, costs, timelines, designs and business readiness
  • Secure acceptance and approval of scope and deliverables from project sponsors, key customers, and stakeholders
  • Facilitate the implementation of solutions in a cost-effective manner by determining the requirements of a project or program, enabling solutioning, design and implementation
  • Work with product managers and owners to create forward-looking plans and roadmaps, not just project schedules

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of project management delivery on mid-high complex projects
  • 7+ years in Information Technology and business/industry
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified preferred
  • Prior experience managing software product delivery projects
  • Applied understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Experience leading Agile practices such as retrospectives and sprint planning
  • Full understanding of the Systems Development Lifecyle (SDLC)
  • Strong Jira knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects requiring coordination of work with all levels of management, consensus-building and problem resolution, and development and execution of project plans
  • Experience with cross-functional Salesforce project management is a plus
  • Must have excellent communication and relationship building competency, including presentation skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and influence at all management levels and with both technical and non-technical individuals and successfully manage in a cross-functional environment
