Responsibilities

The Automation Engineer has a basic understanding in building automations for different teams, and roles to improve the efficiency and accuracy of manual business processes through automation. The Automation Engineer is competent in the creation of process analysis documentation, process design documents, technical process automation documentation, automation testing, project progress reporting, and defect tracking with reporting. The Automation Engineer will be able to lead all aspects of a low complexity automation effort with little guidance and be a constant learner with an eye towards continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing processes for automation for the business
  • Design automation processes as per the operational needs of an organization
  • Perform scripting and coding in Automation Anywhere A360 to resolve automation issues
  • Configure new automation with efficient and easily understandable automation tools
  • Provide postproduction support as necessary for RPA automations and document all automation processes
  • Work with business partners to develop automation strategies for new and existing, on-premise and cloud-hosted applications
  • Analyze business processes to determine eligibility for automation (cost savings, increased accuracy, time savings, etc.)
  • Create necessary design documentation and ensure design is scalable and portable
  • Ensures design documents are up to date with needed changes
  • Test automation ensuring proper execution, robustness, error handling, and metrics reporting
  • Create automation manual for each process to assist in troubleshooting, maintenance, and scheduling of automation
  • Work with business partners to ensure final product meets the needs of the business
  • Conducts or participates in code reviews to improve automated process and to learn and share techniques
  • Provide necessary details for CAB and initiate code migration from Dev/Test to Production
  • Track actual ROI metrics against estimated ROI metrics and understand/report on the differences
  • Help reproduce production bugs in lower environments and provide root cause analysis and code corrections

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Automation Anywhere Essentials RPA Certification (preferred)
  • 2+ years RPA/Automation experience (A360)
  • Automation Anywhere Control Room Code Version Management (preferred)
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLCs) – Scrum and Waterfall
  • Automation Tools: Automation Anywhere A360 (required), UiPath (plus), Microsoft Power Platform (Plus)
  • Computer Application Skills: MS Office Suite, Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart/Visio, Edge and Chrome browsers
  • Automation metrics gathering
  • IT Change Management processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
