Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget, while effectively managing risks, stakeholders, and resources. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities to ensure project objectives align with organizational strategy.  This position is a hybrid model with going into the office.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Define scope, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, ensuring all team members understand objectives and roles

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Direct and mentor cross-functional project teams, fostering accountability and performance
  • Facilitate daily/weekly stand-ups, progress reviews, and steering committee updates

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for project sponsors, business leaders, and external vendors
  • Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and provide regular status reports

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation/contingency plans
  • Escalate critical issues promptly and recommend corrective actions

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to project management frameworks (PMBOK, Agile, PRINCE2, or company methodology)
  • Recommend improvements to processes, tools, and reporting for greater efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience managing medium-to-large, cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects where a third-party vendor is contracted through a Statement of Work to deliver a software solution
  • Certifications (Preferred): PMP®, PRINCE2®, PMI-ACP®, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana, Smartsheet, Trello)
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and influence stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities to solve complex problems
  • Must possess strong conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
