Responsibilities
- Develop and exhibit subject matter expertise in assigned areas of responsibility as related to Insurance Product Filings.
- Develop and communicate Company expectations to internal and external customers relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
- Meet statutory reporting obligations within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Develop, enhance, distribute, and maintain business processes and procedures within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Monitor new laws or promulgated regulations relative to areas of responsibility.
- Develop and implement appropriate measures of internal and external compliance within areas of responsibility.
- Maintain relationships with various state insurance departments and other regulatory bureaus/entities relative to areas of responsibility.
- Research and analyze unique requirements resulting from new program managers, new products, or changes in insurance regulations.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or business administration preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a compliance position required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance required.
- Knowledge of NAIC and state insurance regulatory compliance required.
- General knowledge of the insurance industry required.
- Working familiarity of SERFF - System for Electronic Rate Form Filings required.
- Working knowledge of Insurance Product Filings preferred.
- Knowledge of NAIC annual statement lines of business helpful.
- Excellent people and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently upon management direction.
- Must be willing to problem solve and take on new responsibilities.
- Research and analysis of regulations, statutes, and case law across 50 states.
