Responsibilities

  • Perform various financial reporting and analysis activities
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and inter-company transactions
  • Analyze trends in forecast and variances to budget
  • Effectively communicate financial outcomes and results of analysis performed
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and other projects, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of accounting experience required, public accounting background preferred
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and experience in preparation of periodic financial reporting packages
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, detail-orientated
  • Strong excel and analytical skills 
  • Insurance industry experience is not required
