Responsibilities

The Insurance Delivery Services Manager determines and oversees the technical delivery of the strategy and roadmap offerings (software development and consulting practices) that will achieve clients’ (stakeholders’ and business leadership’) outcomes and their assigned organization’s financial objectives. Effectively the “voice of the business” in the offering, acting in many ways like a product manager might in a software or hardware company. Looking for someone who has led technical team delivery or application deliveries.

 

Responsibilities

  • Discovery, synthesis and prioritization of client objectives and market challenges. Generate potential solutions to meeting those objectives and challenges.
  • Continuously use data to empower decision making and inform product direction in ways that build toward positive business outcomes for the organization and their clients. 
  • Key player who effectively integrates, motivates, and builds relationships with and between all team members, key stakeholders, clients, executives and other individuals or organizations involved with the end-to-end offering life cycle.
  • Responsible for setting priorities, guiding, supporting development and operational activities along with day-to-day direction and oversight to insurance delivery services team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in the following fields: Information Technology, Enterprise Application Integration, and Business Process management  
  • 5+ years of experience in IT in Technology Architecture, Operations, and Design related disciplines
  • 8+ year of Insurance expertise, Property & Casualty business processes is required
  • Ability to lead, manage and build strong relationships across the delivery team and matrixed stakeholders and clients
  • Facilitate difficult discussions, prioritize competing interests, and manage both strategic and tactical interests
  • Experience with design thinking principles and client experience design
  • High degree of empathy; an ability to align and relate to direct reports and clients.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including experience leveraging data to inform decision making and assist in solving engineering problems
  • Strong experience in researching and understanding both market and client needs
  • Demonstrated success in defining and building technology offerings
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously 
  • Flexibility and demonstrated experience with change management practices and protocols
